American Dog began in 2014 as a Colorado product line of Stryker by Design and lists its contact address in Denver, Colorado. AllAmerican.org’s company profile identifies Stryker’s four owners as Hayley Clark-Johnson, Tina Johnson, Tasha Hunsaker and Tina Anderson. Warehouse dog Gracie inspired the team to sew its first dog toys from materials already used in its manufacturing work. The brand focuses on shared play between dogs and their people, commits to American manufacturing, and supports shelters and rescues through Gracie’s Giveback. Read the company’s own origin story.

Fire Hose Dog Tug Toy with 7-Inch Handle – Made in USA

This fire hose dog tug pairs a patterned fabric body with a separate handle for shared play. It is intended for an owner who wants a tug toy to hold during an interactive game, with a format that can also be thrown for a short retrieve. A choice of prints lets you select an everyday, seasonal or flag-themed design without changing the basic product format.

The supplier describes a 10-inch fire hose body and a 7-inch handle constructed using dual-fold ballistic fabric. Those are separate component measurements; the source does not clearly establish the assembled end-to-end length, so they are not added together into a new specification. The toy floats and is listed as machine washable. The product has 21 print variants in the BuyAmerican selector, including Good Boy and Good Girl Bones & Stars, Colorado and Texas flags, seasonal designs and Rainbow. Select the exact available print in the selector rather than relying on a photograph of another variant.

Shipping for this fire hose dog tug

This fire hose dog tug is supplied by American Dog. Its Terms and Conditions state dispatch within five business days, subject to inventory exceptions and shipment-delay notices. Its separate Shipping Policy describes most U.S. deliveries as arriving in two to four days, without clearly separating handling from transit time. Custom orders may take up to seven days to ship. These statements are supplier estimates, not a guaranteed arrival date for a BuyAmerican order.

The supplier advertises free shipping on qualifying continental U.S. orders above $250. That offer concerns American Dog items only. The supplier’s pages conflict on a $6.95 U.S. flat rate versus charges calculated by weight and destination; the applicable charge and the treatment of an order totaling exactly $250 require confirmation before purchase. See the supplier shipping policy and shipping and return terms.

Returns for this fire hose dog tug

For this toy, the supplier’s published terms allow replacement of an unused toy at the point of purchase. A used toy may be replaced or refunded at the manufacturer’s discretion. Those terms do not specify a general return deadline, condition checklist, or return-shipping charges. Contact BuyAmerican before sending a product back so the correct request can be coordinated.

Materials and Construction

The body uses material identified by the vendor as genuine fire hose. The separate handle uses ballistic fabric and dual-fold construction. This is a sewn dog toy, and the fire hose origin of the material does not establish a chew-proof or indestructible rating. Its printed exterior and handle should be checked for wear after each session.

Care

The manufacturer lists this toy as machine washable but does not specify a wash temperature, detergent, cycle or drying method. Follow any care label supplied with the toy and obtain the maker’s directions before using an unlisted treatment. Inspect the body, handle and seams after cleaning, and remove the toy from use if it is damaged.

Supervised Play

Use only for supervised interactive play. Match the toy’s size and play style to your dog, inspect it before and after each session, and remove it if fabric or stitching becomes damaged or internal material is exposed. Keep loose pieces away from your dog. No fabric dog toy is indestructible, and a tug or fetch toy should not be treated as an unattended chewing product.

Manufacturer Toy Replacement Warranty

American Dog states that if a dog destroys one of its toys within the first ten days, it will provide one free replacement without requiring the old toy to be returned. Submit the request directly to the manufacturer and follow its instructions. This is a one-time toy replacement promise, distinct from a general change-of-mind refund policy. Review the manufacturer toy warranty for the current process.
