Tennessee Bob’s Hot Sauce Company is a veteran-owned brand founded by Robert D. Vasvary in Boca Raton, Florida, and operating since 2019. Bob began growing peppers in his home garden in 2015 before developing salsas and original sauce recipes. His approach centers on flavor, family and storytelling, with the Pepper People characters giving the sauce range its personality.
Hillbilly Pirate Hot Sauce combines mango, blood orange, rum and maple syrup with Scotch bonnet and superhot peppers. Inspired by Bob's Navy background and love of island music, it brings Caribbean-style fruit and spice together with Appalachian influences. This blend sits at the hottest end of the maker's range.
Try a small dab alongside grilled fish, jerk chicken, pulled pork or ribs. It can also add a tropical accent to beans and rice or mashed potatoes. Taste the sauce on a separate bite first; a modest amount lets you judge the balance of fruit, sweetness and heat.
