Inspired by her four sons and encouraged by her father, Suzanne built the business around the kind of imaginative play she remembered from childhood. The company's wooden toys emphasize hands-on exploration, creativity, and the lasting appeal of traditional play.

A holiday kitchen set for learning alongside an adult

The Little Chef Holiday Plaid set brings together a wooden cutting board, a child-sized wooden knife, and a coordinating apron. Red, green, and cream plaid gives the set a Christmas appearance, while the board and knife provide a practical starting point for supervised food-preparation activities. It is designed to let a child take part in simple kitchen routines with guidance from a caregiver.

The maple cutting board measures 12 inches long by 9 inches wide and 0.5 inch thick. The supplier lists the wooden knife at 9 inches long by 2 inches wide and 0.6 inch thick, and the apron at 15 by 18.5 inches. These are item measurements rather than a guaranteed clothing fit. Compare the apron dimensions with the child's needs before choosing the set.

Make a small task part of the meal

With close adult supervision, a child can help arrange ingredients or practice cutting suitable soft foods, such as the bananas and strawberries suggested by the supplier. An adult should choose the task, prepare a stable work area, and remain present throughout. Putting on the apron, using the board, and helping tidy up afterward can make a simple kitchen activity feel like a complete routine.

The holiday design also makes the set an option for a family cooking gift or a seasonal activity shared with a caregiver. It includes the three listed items; food and other props shown in photographs are not included.
