merry-christmas-lights-door-hanger-finished
Merry Christmas Lights Door Hanger | Hand-Painted MDF

Kim & Garrett Make It! is the creative business of Kimberly and Garrett VanHuizen in Glen Allen, Virginia, near Richmond. Their garage-based crafting grew into a workshop offering DIY projects, finished decor, tutorials, and practical maker education. They emphasize learning through real projects, helping people develop creative confidence, and making the process approachable and enjoyable.

Merry Christmas Lights Door Hanger

Colorful Christmas-light shapes surround the Merry Christmas greeting on this finished sign. The layered design and painted lettering create a festive entry accent with the decorating work already completed by the maker. Individual hand-painted pieces can vary, so the photograph represents the design rather than a guarantee of identical brushwork.

What You Are Ordering

This is the finished, hand-painted version. It is distinct from an unfinished DIY kit. The paint and assembly described above are completed by the maker, and small visual differences are part of the hand-painted process.

Product Specifications

Layered 1/4-inch MDF

Hand painted with exterior paint

Listed Components

Finished Merry Christmas lights door hanger

Product detail to confirm: Overall dimensions are not specified in the supplier description and have not been independently verified.

Display Planning

The layered shapes and painted details give the sign its visual character. Choose a display position where the full silhouette and greeting can be seen. The maker’s photograph is useful for recognizing the design, but it does not establish scale when overall dimensions are not provided. If you need the sign to fit a specific door, alcove, or display area, request the exact finished measurements before ordering.

Care and Finishing

Use a soft, dry cloth to remove loose dust, and handle the sign by its larger solid areas rather than narrow decorative details. Check the hanging arrangement before display and store the piece dry between seasons. The supplier describes an exterior paint finish, but that does not establish an immersion rating or a maintenance-free finish. For placement exposed to weather, obtain the maker’s care guidance for this exact finished sign.

For general guidance, consult CPSC holiday decorating guidance, then follow the instructions for the materials and methods you actually use.

Country of Origin

The supplier says it makes and ships its products in the Richmond, Virginia area and lists its workshop in Glen Allen, Virginia. Product descriptions identify the MDF components as cut in-house. This supports United States production of the MDF craft pieces; the raw MDF feedstock origin has not been independently verified. The supplier describes in-house design, painting or assembly for the finished sign. The raw paint, ribbon and decorative-material origins are not independently documented; no all-domestic-material claim is made.

Shipping for This Product

This listing states that the product is ready to ship within 3–5 days; it does not consistently define those days as business or calendar days. The supplier’s current delivery panel separately asks for 1–3 business days to pack orders and says tracking is emailed after shipment. These estimates differ, so confirm the dispatch date for this product and selected option before planning an event. Shipping charges are calculated at checkout. A carrier transit estimate and guaranteed arrival date have not been verified.

Returns for This Product

The supplier’s refund policy allows a return request within 30 days after receipt. Eligible goods must be unused, in the condition received, and in original packaging with proof of purchase. An approved return includes a return label and instructions; an unapproved return is not accepted. Custom or personalized orders and sale items are excluded. Inspect the order promptly and report damage, missing pieces, or an incorrect item before beginning the project. The separate page headed Shipping policy describes defect, damage or missing-item remedies within 30 days of purchase, a different starting point from the general return window. Confirm the applicable deadline promptly if an order arrives with a problem.

These are the supplier’s published direct-order terms. Their application to this BuyAmerican product and its selected option has not been confirmed through a product-specific agreement.
