Minced Black Garlic

Minced Black Garlic: Product Details

This isn’t your everyday garlic, folks! Say hello to our pride and joy, minced black garlic 💕 After a few years of looking for black garlic to share with the world, we are so happy to share that we've found one that meets our standards!

But first, what exactly is black garlic? We're so glad you asked 😊

Whole garlic bulbs are slowly aged in a controlled, humid environment for weeks, allowing natural sugars and amino acids to transform through fermentation and the Maillard reaction. The result is cloves that are deeply sweet, mellow, and umami-rich, with a soft, jam-like texture and subtle tang.

We take it a step further by mincing these aged gems, making it effortless to add complex, chef-level flavour to any dish. Sprinkle it, stir it, roast it, or fold it into sauces! This black garlic brings depth, richness, and a little culinary magic wherever it goes 🪄

Black garlic is...
Rich and savory with a depth akin to miso or aged soy sauce!
Caramely with molasses-like notes & hints of fig or date.
Gentle with a balsamic-like acidity that balances the sweetness and garlicky-ness.
Sticky and jam-like, ready to fold into any recipe!

Compare the form of the spice, such as whole, crushed or ground, and consider the recipe in which you plan to use it. Add seasonings in stages and taste as you cook.
