The company grew from a passion for creating useful pieces for everyday kitchens and tables. Its stated priorities are careful material selection, attention to practical details, and steady improvements to the making process so well-made boards remain reasonably priced.

Personalized Slate Address Sign, 11.75 x 7 Inch

Add a custom name or address to an entryway with a rectangular slate sign. The inherited product specifications list an 11.75 by 7-inch face, a quarter-inch thickness, a burlap hanging rope, and pre-drilled holes. Laser engraving supplies the personal detail; confirm the requested wording and mounting arrangement before ordering.

Personalization and format

The sign is intended to display a household name, street number, or agreed address wording. Confirm the exact text, spelling, and capitalization before engraving. Discuss the layout before production if the address is long or contains more information than the example. The wording shown in a sample photograph is an example and should not be treated as the text for your order.

Placement and mounting

Measure the proposed location and consider how the sign will hang before choosing it for an entryway. The inherited listing describes a burlap rope and pre-drilled holes, but it does not establish a universal mounting method for every wall or an included set of wall fasteners. Choose hardware appropriate for the surface and the sign's actual weight. Avoid assuming that a rope, screw, or anchor is suitable for every installation.

For an address display, visibility matters. Place the finished number where it can be read from the road and keep the view clear. The U.S. Fire Administration guidance on visible house numbers explains why responders need to see the address. Confirm local requirements and use additional address numbering where the decorative sign does not provide a clear road-facing display.

Handling and care

Slate is a stone material, so handle the sign carefully during unpacking and mounting. Support it while checking the hanging points, and avoid impacts against hard edges. The inherited description mentions indoor and outdoor use, but no independently verified freeze, UV, impact, or weather-resistance rating is available. Confirm the intended exposure and the maker's cleaning instructions before selecting a location.

This is a personalized decor item rather than a cutting board or a food-contact surface. Keep the mounting arrangement secure and inspect it when the sign is moved. Choose a readable text layout that suits the available face area instead of relying on decorative lettering alone for essential address visibility.

Country of origin

The country of origin of this finished slate sign has not been verified. The maker's Ohio location and its work on American hardwood boards do not establish where the slate was quarried or where this complete sign was manufactured. No Made in USA statement is made for this item. Confirm the origin and product-specific specifications before purchase.

Shipping for this item

Refine Kitchenware publishes a typical production period of 3–5 business days for standard made-to-order orders.
