For a gift, check the number of pieces and the stated cleaning method before choosing. Silicone products should be compared using their own material and origin details rather than assuming that every product from an Iowa company is made in Iowa. After play, count the pieces back into the set, allow them to dry, and store them where an adult can inspect them before the next session.

An adult can place the ball within reach during awake floor play, then wait for the child to notice it and attempt a grasp. Follow the child’s pace and keep the space clear. The open structure allows fingers to find different holding points, but it still needs the same careful inspection and direct supervision as other baby play items.
