Hand-Forged Steel BBQ Skewers – Set of 4, 14"

Wicks Forge was founded by Nicholas Wicks Moreau, who dates the forge’s beginnings to 2013 after an online launch in October 2012. Its current business address is Salem, New York, and its team also has roots in Maine. Moreau began with inherited family tools after a blacksmithing apprenticeship in Scotland. The company makes useful everyday metalwork, values accessible craftsmanship and honors the blacksmith’s tradition of community service.

Hand-Forged Steel BBQ Skewers – Set of 4, 14"

Prepare kebabs with a set of four reusable steel skewers. Each skewer has a twisted section and a looped handle, with approximately 12 inches available for food along its working length. The 14-inch overall format is intended for grilling outdoors or cooking in the oven.

Use the working-length measurement when planning portions and the total length when checking oven or grill clearance. These measurements belong to the separate four-skewer pack; they should not be substituted for dimensions published for a different BBQ set.

Materials and finish

Hand-forged steel with a linseed-oil and wax finish.

Hand-forging can create small differences in surface texture, shape and dimensions. Measurements are approximate rather than precision-machined tolerances. Keep the protective surface maintained so the metal stays ready for its intended use.

Care and use

Hand wash after use, towel dry thoroughly and wipe the metal with a thin layer of cooking oil. Do not leave it soaking or store it while damp. If surface rust develops, remove it with a suitable scouring pad and renew the oil coating. Maintain the surface as you would seasoned cookware; avoid prolonged contact with water. Allow the tool to cool before cleaning, and protect your hands when handling hot metal.

Use appropriate protection around hot cookware and grilling tools. Metal handles can heat up, even when they provide extra reach. Keep food-contact surfaces clean between raw and cooked foods. For additional guidance, review USDA grilling and food-handling guidance.
