texas-grapefruit-shrub
Texas Grapefruit Shrub – Cocktail & Mocktail Mixer

Texas Grapefruit Shrub – Cocktail & Mocktail Mixer – Product Details

Our Texas Grapefruit Shrub is a lively combination of Rio Red Texas grapefruit, cane sugar and champagne vinegar. The shrub is mildly sweet, but its hallmark is the champagne vinegar’s punchy and unique acidity. The strong and zesty grapefruit flavor is backed by a subtle allspice note.

This is a nonalcoholic fruit shrub mixer produced in Austin, Texas, according to the maker. It can be used to create a mixed drink without alcohol, and it can also be included in a cocktail recipe where appropriate. Keep the drink's final balance in mind: a syrup's sweetness, the acidity of juice or tonic, and the amount of ice or sparkling water all affect the finished result.

For citrus-focused drinks, compare the tartness of your base mixer and adjust the syrup gradually rather than sweetening the entire drink at once. When comparing mixers, decide whether you want a fruit-forward accent, floral aroma, warming spice, or a rounded sweet base, and select the flavor that suits your recipe.

The maker manufactures and ships its syrups from Austin, Texas. Ingredient sourcing can be international, so production location does not imply that every ingredient was grown in the United States.
