The Prayer Bowl (Aluminum)

Wendell August Forge began in 1923 in Brockway, Pennsylvania, when Wendell McMinn August and blacksmith Ottone Pisoni started making matching ironwork for August’s home. That practical commission grew into a decorative metalworking business. The company’s values center on skilled craft, preserving traditional techniques and creating gifts that mark family milestones. Its artisans continue the metalworking tradition in Pennsylvania, with production now in Slippery Rock.

The Prayer Bowl (Aluminum)

The Prayer Bowl is a beautifully handcrafted Christian keepsake designed to encourage daily prayer, reflection, and spiritual connection. Expertly hand-wrought by skilled artisans in highly polished aluminum, this elegant bowl features a stylized engraved cross accented by a brilliant crystal, creating a striking symbol of faith and devotion.

Graceful curves along the rim and intricate textural details add depth and artistry to the design, transforming the Prayer Bowl into both a meaningful spiritual gift and a beautiful decorative piece. Encircling the outer rim is the inspiring scripture from Mark 11:24: "Therefore I tell you, whatever you have asked for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours." This powerful verse serves as a daily reminder of the strength, hope, and comfort found through prayer.

Designed to hold prayer intentions, prayer cards, notes of gratitude, or personal reflections, the Prayer Bowl offers a meaningful way to create a dedicated space for faith within the home.

Perfect for weddings, First Holy Communion, Confirmation, baptisms, religious graduations, or as an inspirational gift for loved ones, the Prayer Bowl is a timeless expression of faith that will be cherished for generations.

Care and storage

For the aluminum or pewter metal component, dust with a soft cloth. The maker permits a plain warm-water rinse followed immediately by gentle drying with a soft cloth. Do not use a dishwasher, cook in the piece or cut directly on the metal. Where food service is appropriate, limit use to cold food and use a suitable barrier for foods that may mark the surface. Crystal accents and attachments need separate care confirmation; avoid soaking the assembled item.

Origin, shipping and returns

Product-specific country of manufacture is not fully verified. The company’s Pennsylvania workshop and general American-craftsmanship statements do not establish the origin of this complete item. Metalwork, crystals, glass, wood, hardware and any other included components need separate evidence where applicable.
