Wall Germander (Teucrium Chamaedris) - 25 Seeds

Description:

The woody perennial can be grown from Germander seeds! It's a wonderful addition for the herb garden, making the perfect border plant. It can be trimmed like a hedge. Germander, or also called Wall Germander, has a history of medicinal uses and is used in the manufacture of liqueurs, vermouths, and tonic wines. Its most frequent use is as a small evergreen ornamental hedge in formal herb gardens. Germander herb will grow in almost any soil as long as it is well-drained, and it requires little water to keep green. Germander produces lovely violet colored blooms in the summer and continues for weeks of color. The blooms attract both bees and butterflies. The stems and flowers can be cut, dried and used to make wreaths and dried arrangements.

Planting Instructions:

How To Grow Germander: Direct sow in late fall, planting just below the surface of the soil. For spring planting, mix the seeds with moist sand and store in the refrigerator for 60 days before planting. This cold stratification will break the seed dormancy as occurs naturally over the winter in nature. Germander is very hardy, but can be finicky when starting from seeds if the dormancy isn't broken.
