Wicks Forge was founded by Nicholas Wicks Moreau, who dates the forge’s beginnings to 2013 after an online launch in October 2012. Its current business address is Salem, New York, and its team also has roots in Maine. Moreau began with inherited family tools after a blacksmithing apprenticeship in Scotland. The company makes useful everyday metalwork, values accessible craftsmanship and honors the blacksmith’s tradition of community service.
Cook at camp with a compact pan and a long, shaped handle. The reverse-curl design has a dished channel forged into the handle for grip and a curled hanging loop at its end. Its 7.5-inch pan and approximately 28-inch overall length create a different format from the maker’s shorter-handled camping pan.
The supplier lists campfire, barbecue and gas-stove use for this pan. Check that your grate or support holds the pan securely, and allow room for the extended handle. Hanging is for storage after the pan has cooled, been cleaned and dried.

This item normally dispatches within 1–4 business days under the supplier’s shipping policy; transit time is additional. Domestic orders with more than $75 of Wicks Forge products qualify for that vendor’s free-shipping offer. The offer applies to the Wicks Forge portion of the order. Other rates and methods appear at checkout. For items longer than 22 inches, the supplier requires a street address rather than a PO box.
For this standard, non-personalized item, the supplier allows returns within 30 days of receipt. Change-of-mind return postage is paid by the customer; a supplier-created label may be deducted from the refund. Damaged, defective or incorrect items reported within 30 days receive prepaid return shipping under the supplier’s policy. For a BuyAmerican purchase, request authorization from hello@buyamerican.mom before returning anything. Eligible BuyAmerican returns must be unused, with original packaging and proof of purchase.

Hand-forged iron/steel cookware with a linseed-oil and wax finish; exact alloy is not specified.
Hand-forging can create small differences in surface texture, shape and dimensions. Measurements are approximate rather than precision-machined tolerances. Keep the protective surface maintained so the metal stays ready for its intended use.
Hand wash after use, towel dry thoroughly and wipe the metal with a thin layer of cooking oil. Do not leave it soaking or store it while damp. If surface rust develops, remove it with a suitable scouring pad and renew the oil coating. Maintain the surface as you would seasoned cookware; avoid prolonged contact with water. Allow the tool to cool before cleaning, and protect your hands when handling hot metal.
Use appropriate protection around hot cookware and grilling tools. Metal handles can heat up, even when they provide extra reach. Keep food-contact surfaces clean between raw and cooked foods. For additional guidance, review USDA grilling and food-handling guidance.
